Today we give a big THANK YOU to the incredible drivers who safely transport our students to and from school each day. Your patience, dedication, and friendly smiles start and end every school day on a positive note.
You are more than drivers — you’re heroes behind the wheel!

The Bulldogs soccer teams traveled to LR Mills tonight and won their games. The girls won 9-0 and the boys won 3-0. Congrats to both teams. #Bethebest

🏀🐾 💙 Star City School District is proud to announce Madison Bitely as the new Head Coach of the Star City Ladydog Basketball Program!
We are thrilled to welcome Coach Madison Bitely as the new Head Coach of the Ladydogs! We’re excited for the future of our tradition-rich program under her leadership. Coach Bitely brings a lifelong passion for the game, a deep basketball pedigree, and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes on and off the court.
Coach Bitely is no stranger to the Ladydogs—she served this past year as the assistant senior girls coach and head junior high coach, playing a key role in the program’s growth and success.
She grew up in Hope, Arkansas, and was a standout player at Blevins High School, where she earned All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State honors. She continued her playing career at South Arkansas College, gaining valuable experience at the collegiate level.
Basketball runs deep in her family—she played under her father, who coached at Bauxite, Prescott, Poyen, Blevins, and Bearden. Her love for coaching was also inspired by her grandmother, a legendary coach who spent 38 years at Hope High School and is a member of the Arkansas High School Coaches Hall of Fame.
Please join us in giving Coach Bitely a warm Star City welcome as she begins this new chapter with the Ladydogs!🏀🐾 💙 #BeTheBest

Happy Easter from Star City Schools! #bethebest

Yesterday, the preschoolers at Star City ABC had a wonderful time. Their day began with a delightful scavenger hunt featuring bunnies hidden throughout the school. Following this, they enjoyed having their pictures taken with a bunny. They also crafted puppets and concluded the day with an egg hunt. We are very grateful to Mr. Winn, Mr. Roger, and the art club for their assistance in making it such a fantastic day for our students. #Bethebest
