Dear Parents, Families and Community Members:
Every year, each public school and district in Arkansas receives a Report Card. Just as each student’s report card shows his/her progress in specific subjects, the School Report Card shows how our school is performing in different areas. This user-friendly information is available at the following links:
The goal of the Report Card is to provide transparent and accessible information to parents, families, and the community all in one place. In the 2019-2020 school year, events related to COVID-19 caused a substantial disruption to on-site instruction, assessment, accountability, and reporting. Because of these events, some items typically included in accountability and reporting are not available.
Although COVID-19 has made substantial interruptions, the work of our learning communities continues. The global pandemic interrupted not only our nation’s health, but it interrupted our educational system. In the 2019-2020 school year, Arkansas’ students did not participate in high stakes testing. The lack of assessment data allows us to view accountability through other lenses that support student achievement. We know that the report card is just one of many ways you will engage with us at Star City School District, and we are grateful for your continued support.
If you have questions about the Report Card, please visit the My School Info website https://myschoolinfo.arkansas.gov/SRC to find more information, definitions of terms, videos which explain how the site works, and answers to frequently asked questions. If you would like to become involved in school improvement activities, or would like to know more about the information in our school report card, please contact us at 866-446-3647.
